How To Beat Home Video Games 3 Donkey Kong
I played this on the NES there were some springs on the 3rd level that jump around on the level
#
"This has everything. Hammers, fireballs, ladders, you name it."
Yeah, right, so where are the springs? Lying bastard.
Donkey Kong Country : Awesome Video Game Tips!!
I liked in the original voice over when you said "it's a little tricky but I'm sure you can figure it out" about the tire. It was the kind of striking sincerity about the truly obvious that made a number of old videogame shows really funny (Canada's V&A Top 10's 'Turbo Tips' for example). So I DO miss this line, even though you're more coherent now :P. So you don't have to insult us, but feel free to condescend to us. :)
Pausepausepause! *Pauses and item menu comes up.* Hmmm.... Starman, Wind Whistle. No, no... Tanooki Suit. Nah. Frog Suit? I don't NEED a Frog Suit! Ah, here we go, Hammer Bro. Suit. *Uses, unpauses, and hurls Hammer at Sun.* Hah, take THAT! *Sun falls off stage, giving 5,000 points.* Well, that takes care of that. *Turns around to see another Sun.* Aw, man...
Donkey Kong FInal Mix
everyone has their favorite games from way back and the music always brings you back to a more simple, enjoyable time that we can never experience again...just remember forever.
My most memorable music comes from earthbound, super mario world, mario 64, mario rpg, star fox 64, ocarina of time, goldeneye, donkey kong country, etc.
DONKEY KONG for ColecoVision review
anyone indeed can complete a game today, because theres virtually NO penalty for death. you just respawn an infinate amount of times.....and really cant fail them
older games are much harder, faster and less forgiving with mistakes....give a 14 year old call of duty player a retro game, itll completly kick thier ass. also the fact that you had lives and limited amount of continues in old games, and it wasnt always so easy to earn them, made the already hard game, harder.
What a great game still. This version just seems really backwards and out of whack though
Boy review for Game DONKEY KONG
I had the same experience with this game. I had a Donkey Kong arcade cabinet growing up. How my Dad afforded it in the 80s I have no idea.. but I wanted this for gameboy. For some reason, I always wanted games I always had on other consoles. I had no idea about the extra levels. I was seriously surprised when I beat the Concrete Factory (or "Pie factory" as I called it as a kid..) and there were more levels..
One of the hidden gems of game history.
Its Sooo Close. You may think you have seen the game at its best but that sepia tone and the iffy controls of the GBA SP is still not quite the best this game can get. For the true best you need the SNES and Super Gameboy Not only are the controls a bit smoother but the audio is a bit crisper and there are so many color aspects to the graphics that were left out. Its hard to be sure where to begin. Please consider getting the SNES and SuperGB if you haven't already.
Golden Age For Video Games [96] Donkey Kong Country
So many amazing tunes in this game. I remember turning this game on Christmas 1994 and my jaw hit the floor at the graphical detail of EVERYTHING on the screen. I didnt realise the SNES was capable of colours like that...epic game and memories
yep they should bring more classics back instead of making the new stuff u can complete in a evening or 2 :( only special effekts but no more really good gameplay
